Perhaps the truth lies ...

Wallace Stevens wrote, 'perhaps the truth lies in a walk around the lake'. So I tried it out on Wednesday morning.





I walked to this jetty where I sat for a while ...


And contemplated the view near ...


And farther away...


Met a finch


An ex cicada


A blue wren


And was greeted by the gum trees


I think he's right- perhaps the truth does lie in a walk around the lake!!

    Finally catching up here at home with time now to follow blogs, write emails and paint walls! This would be the lake where we four sat and enjoyed the morning with a drink. It was very nice then, and it looks even nicer now. Thanks so much for the pictures of the birds. I so enjoyed discovering new species when we visited! We will walk our own lake tomorrow morning before Annemarie departs for Vancouver and if the fall colours are 'out' I'll post as well. Best to you both. Geoff
