It’s been amazing. I’m glad, I’m sad, I’m thankful, and I’m done!!
Beyond here be dragons…
It’s time to turn and begin the long journey home. Tomorrow, I’ll take a bus to Santiago and on Thursday I fly to Paris where I will met Sarah. She finished her thirty day retreat today so it’s been a big day for both of us. We’ll continue to post on the blog but maybe not everyday.
Buen Camino
Neil🧡🙏
Congratulation! You look happy! We can perfectly understand your feelings at the milestone "zero". It's not the end, it's a beginning. All the best for you and for Sarah. Much love, Esther and Karsten
ReplyDeleteHola Neil and Sarah! I hope that you are dealing ok with all this feelings and that you learnt a lot from this amazing experience. Thank you very much for sharing it with us every day. As Esther and Karseten said, the end is where everything starts. Good luck with everything in your life and keep doing your best. I hope that our paths will cross again. Enjoy Santiago and eat caldo gallego for me please.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo!

That’s quite some achievement, but that’s not as important as the experience of being immersed in a landscape and a culture at walking - human -pace. Fantastic. Charles
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing accomplishment for both of you! Congratulations! Ken
ReplyDeleteI am in complete awe of the determination, perseverance, and good humour (largely) that you sustained from the first to the last step. What an accomplishment! Thank you for taking us with you through your journey. I wish you many quiet nights and a joyous reunion with Sarah. Love to you both. Marta
ReplyDeleteGlad for you, and sad for the end of this marvellous vicarious journey. Watching your last set of photos while listening to Joe Hitachi’s Spirited Away felt fortuitous and synergistic. I imagine Paris may feel tumultuous for you and Sarah given your last months. Travel gently, KAS
ReplyDeleteWow, that’s an amazing journey Neil! Congratulations on an incredible pilgrimage. Hope the re-engagement goes smoothly. Graeme

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Neil! I can understand the mixed emotions, but I'm happy for your legs. Anna
ReplyDeleteThank you Thank you, Neil for enlightening, intriguing and inspiring us all on your odyssey. The water lapping around your feet at Finisterre must have felt . . . . I don't know . . . But your toes, ankles, arches would be saying something like 'For God's sake Neil . . . are we done now, are we . . .are we? Hmmm, not sure
ReplyDeleteWhat a buen camino
Congratulation. It has been a very long walk for you. Well done to both of you👏😘 Mie
