The chief gardener and her hat!
This red Red Admiral butterfly was enjoying the garden too. Along with a dozens birds and hundreds of bees.
The secret is out!!
To create such a colourful garden by the sea, where the soil is poor and a salty wind often howls, is a work of love and artistry over many years. We’ve never been here to see it in its summer splendour before, so it’s a delight to share it this year.

ReplyDeleteReunion at last, lovely to see you both. What a beautiful garden, can see where your artistic talent comes from Neil. Love and blessings Bxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, a work of love. Congratulations to the gardeners.
ReplyDeleteYes, it occurred to me as well that Neil’s appreciation of trees and views could be influenced by a gardener who creates landscapes in miniature. Love those luscious roses especially, and as Neil points out, all that flowering in a salt breeze is very impressive. Very inspiring, especially in our winter dark and damp. Enjoy! KAS
