P.S. Moixent

It turned out that the man bearing the sword was part of a bigger drama that unfolded in Moixent yesterday. After showering and washing we wandered up town to get a drink and walked into a full blown fiesta in the Main Street. There were swords everywhere!

It was all part of celebrating some event in Spanish history. The Christians liberating the country from the mooors, I think.

There were horses and numerous marching bands, and everyone was involved - men, women, children.

I especially loved this guy. He reminded me of Braveheart. How’s the cigar. This guy has class!

As do these senioras.

And, after all that, they gave us a wonderful peregrino menu. Who’s that chirpy looking one??
